CEROBEAR Outdoor Area in Herzogenrath: A Sustainable Space
The CEROBEAR outdoor area in Herzogenrath is being transformed into a welcoming and sustainable outdoor space that encourages relaxation, lunch breaks and team building. What began with an inspiring mural has evolved into a green place offering shade, calmness, and a sense of comfort – right at the heart of our workplace.
The Story Behind the Mural
In October 2024, CEROBEAR commissioned artist Alex Jagama to breathe new life into a formerly white garage wall. The vibrant mural is more than just decoration; it reflects our values and dedication to excellence. The colour palette is based on our company colours: various shades of green symbolize our commitment to sustainability, while turquoise and red colours represent our products and our advanced engineering.
The centrepiece of the artwork is a hummingbird, symbolizing not only our Aerospace market segment but also speed, precision, endurance and mobility – all qualities of our bearings. Sitting on its shoulder joint is the centre of a construction sketch, illustrating the transformation of our engineering knowledge and material properties into bearing performance.
Our affiliation with the Japanese MinebeaMitsumi Group is also reflected in the background elements: the red circle behind the hummingbird represents the red sun of the Japanese flag. The flag itself is surrounded by a Zen circle, which, like the cherry blossoms on the left, are also typical of Japanese culture. Sustainable Garden Beds for a Greener Tomorrow
This spring, and as a part of our commitment to social responsibility and sustainable design, CEROBEAR proudly supported the regional Caritas project “Querbeet” – a well-known initiative based in Aachen. The project offers new opportunities to people in difficult life situations, enabling them to gain meaningful work experience and skills for their future.
Through our donation to Querbeet, we received a set of professionally prepared raised garden beds, which now enhance our outdoor area in Herzogenrath. Planted with a rich mix of flowers, herbs, lettuces, and berry bushes, these beds bring colour, fragrance, and structure to the space.
We are proud of this sustainable enhancement of our outdoor space and look forward to seeing how our area continues to develop and become a valued part of our daily work life at CEROBEAR.
